Personal Basketball Experience
I started playing basketball when I was in 2nd grade. I played throughout middle school and kept getting better and better. My dad got me started playing basketball and came to every game. He would help me practice shooting and rebounding since I was a center. I had a lot of competition in 5th grade because people were getting taller than me and I stopped growing. We won a lot trophies during our season. During one our games it was third quarter and five seconds left. My teammate threw the ball in to one of our centers and he chucked it up to try and hit a half-court shot. He threw it to high and hit one of the lights and broke it. We had a lot of competition but made us better through the season. Our coach put us through rough practices but made us as a team get ready for winning our upcoming tournament. In the scared heart tournament there 8 teams who played on the same day. We played 4 games and won all of them. One of of the games I almost had 20 points but was 6 short. It was the finals and we lost 74-69. Afterwards I was selected for the All-Star game. I hit a three at the beginning of the first quarter. Every time we got fouled our moms took our free throws for us. It was a fun experience and met a lot of new people.
